With great power comes great responsibility, and with an image catalog comes well, lesser responsibility, but a responsibility nonetheless. And we’ve all done it, selective color, over saturation, vignette hell.
Sometimes it take a while for our brain to realize that when a photo needs a change, it doe snot need a massive change, just the right amount of change.
And this is what youtube channel ibreakphotos is set to show. That you don’t need to push those dials all the way to the end. Sometimes Usually a subtle, yet well thought budge is enough to bring the photo to a good place.
From top to bottom, here are 10 Common Lightroom mistakes and how to avoid them

better yet don`t do nothing muhhaahaha
always avoid kitsch
Better watch TV while drink gluten and alcohol free beer, isn”t it ?
I have to say the vignette video is pretty weak. There is absolutely zero discussion of the use of radial filters for vignettes, so you can move the vignette around the frame as you desire. It’s painfully obvious that yes, an off-center comp will not benefit from a regular vignette. Thanks for that, video could have been 30 secs long.
Discussion of radial filters and their vast array of uses (in this case related to vignetting), is sorely lacking from this video and limiting for the viewer.
To sum it up: Don’t be Serge Ramelli :)
I don’t agree- do whatever makes a good Picture.
Serge Ramelli makes all 10 in every photo.
So I searched Serge Ramelli because, well, I had to.
I now have that same feeling I had after watching 2 girls 1 cup.
lol.. was going to write the same…. :-)
I hadn’t heard of Serge Rameli. Now I have to wash my eyes with bleach…
Sorry guys, I should have mentioned the suggested icc Profile for watching his Videos…
it’s a bit weird, the main reason this person says we shouldn’t do one thing or the other is “because it looks terrible”. Well that is not a fact, that is an opinion… As far as this person is right in what he’s saying – he could’ve used some more refined arguments.
Well, let’s just take 3/4 the tools out of Lightroom and bow down to the “real” photographer “purists” and be over with it. (sarcasm)
I post process to my artistic inclinations and preferences. Sometimes this breaks the “rules” of the annointed elites. I see many technically perfect photos I don’t care for. They have the technique but lack the soul.
Don’t like my photos? The simplest solution for anyone, don’t look and move on down the road.
In other words. Don’t be creative. Just follow the rules
