How to install the DaVinci Resolve update

How to install the Davinci Resolve update

The process is simple, but I don’t recommend updating mid-project. You can use DaVinci Resolve 19 to edit projects from older versions, but if you want to go back to Resolve 18, you won’t be able to access the project after opening it up in the newer Resolve 19 version.

To install DaVinci Resolve 19, head here and click “download”. It will download a DaVinci Resolve 19 installer to your computer. Double-click the DaVinci Resolve Installer icon and follow the onscreen instructions. To remove DaVinci Resolve from your system, go to the Programs and Features control panel, select DaVinci Resolve, click on Uninstall, and follow the onscreen prompts.

If you’re new to Davinci Resolve, you may wanna have a look at our Resolve guide. It’s a bit old, but it’s a good starting point that can make you familiar with the software in a mere 30 minutes.
