SmallRig Colourful Cages

SmallRig has announced an event to celebrate some upcoming colourful cages. Described by SmallRig as an “exclusive cage colour customisation event“, the company is offering 16 of their most popular camera cages in nine different metallic Pantone colours.

But there’s a catch. It’s limited to only 100 units. Given the huge number of SmallRig customers out there who might want to get their hands on them, they’re probably going to fly out quite quickly. The event starts on August 15th, while stocks last.

One-of-a-kind Cage

The whole concept of colourful cages, as a general rule, isn’t for me. I’m perfectly happy with my black cages for the most part. But I do quite like the idea of getting something like this for that one special camera one just loves to shoot for themselves. A couple of the colours here are quite attractive, too.

There are nine different colours in all. Blue, purple, pink, silver, grey, gold, green, orange and red. And these colours will be applied at no extra cost to cages for 16 different camera models.

Quite the range, although there are perhaps a few notable cameras missing from the list. But for owners of the cameras listed above, if you’ve fancied sprucing up your favourite camera with a colourful cage, now’s your chance. It may be your only chance.

The company has said that it’s limited to 100 units, so you’re going to have to act quickly once things go life if you want one. SmallRig has a global site, as well as on each region’s website, where you can sign up to be notified when they become available to order. That should be at some point on August 25th.

I have to admit, that metallic green looks very nice. It’s just a shame it’s not available on a cage for any of the cameras I currently own. Well, maybe they’ll do it again in the future!
