Most dedicated cine lenses will set you back an arm and a leg…or three. So it’s great that there are companies out there that are bringing us more budget-friendly options. 7Artisans is one such brand making quality-yet-affordable cine lenses. It has just announced the release of its latest cine zoom lens, the 7artisans 24mm-96mm T2.9 S35 Sprite Cine Zoom Lens ($1999), available for ARRI PL and EF mount.
The 24-96mm focal length is likely to prove popular, covering a range of common focal lengths without the hassle of having to change lenses all the time during a shoot. The constant T2.9 aperture ensures consistent light intake throughout the zoom range. This results in uniform image quality, regardless of the focal length.
